ACTION Series Jack Plate™

Bob's Machine Shop's new hydraulic jack plate line, "Action Series Jack Plate™", offers new technology in the Jack Plate market. The first Bob's Jack plate to offer a pump inside the jack plate structure, saving boaters room inside the boat, and eliminating the need to mount a pump inside the boat. This is a great OEM feature to help save time in rigging.

The new internal pump has a motor stronger than any other internal jack plate on the market currently, which will offer greater lifting speed, and strength with heavy outboards. All of the Bob's patented features from our standard series, automotive style grease nipples in the side rails, tension rodes, and the famous Bob's Machine Shop Design, are all incorporated into the Action Series Jack Plate™.

Offered in 6", 8", 10", 12" and 14" setbacks, Bob's Jack plates offer 1 piece design, unlike competitors that require setback spacers to achieve the proper setback. Can be pre-drilled for side mount power poles on request when ordering. Please specify port, starboard, or both.

  • Pump inside jack plate

  • Large powerful motor that can lift heavy outboards under full power

  • Lifetime warranty on structure

  • Can be converted to have pump inside boat if owner desires to change styles

  • Automotive grease nipples for easy lubrication

  • Tension rods

  • Made in USA, in our own factory in Tampa, Florida

STEALTHY JACKPLATES HELP HUNTERS BAG THEIR LIMIT

Mini Jacs, a line of small jackplates from Bob's Machine Shop, were designed for smaller fishing boats with lower-hp engines. Now with a special camo finish, Camo Mini Jacs complete the ideal camouflage package for waterfowl hunters in shallow waters.

The Camo Mini accommodates engines up to 40 hp. It weighs only 18 pounds and works well with any small duck boat using a clamp-on engine. The jackplate supplies 4" of hydraulic lift and comes standard with a 5-1/2" setback.

Like all of Bob's jackplates, Camo Mini Jacs use hi-tech bearings that eliminate water absorption. They also include watertight, automobile-type grease fittings — a unique feature not found on other jacks. The hydraulic pump is mounted inside the boat to lower overall weight on the transom and minimize exposure, especially in saltwater.

The Camo Mini Jac comes with a lifetime warranty and retails for $775.

NEW JACKPLATE HANDLES 300-HP ENGINES WITH EASE

Bob's Machine Shop has developed a lightweight, hydraulic jackplate to handle the raw speed and power of modern, high-powered outboards. The Ultra HD 4" can lift a 300-hp outboard 7-1/2" inches in approximately 7 seconds—under full power.

Made of 6061-grade aluminum, the Ultra HD 4" is strong enough to take on the new generation of heavier, 2- and 4-stroke outboards. With their greater weight, these engines can change the boat's fulcrum point, which affects the boat's center of gravity while underway. The 37-pound jack is so light that it makes only a minimum change in the fulcrum point.
The Ultra HD 4" has the same outside dimensions as BMS' smallest jack plate, the 4" Ultra Lightweight, but it is beefed up with thicker side rails and backing plate. The setback distance from transom to outboard engine has been maintained at 3-7/8".
Patented BMS jackplates use a hi-tech bearing that does not absorb water. The plates also feature automobile-type grease fittings—unique among competitive products. All hydraulic pumps on BMS jackplates are mounted inside the boat, which lowers the overall weight on the transom and reduces corrosion and exposure to saltwater.

Optional electronic gauges are available that adjust to bright sunlight or overcast conditions. The gauges show the boat operator the exact height of the jack plate within 1/8".
All hydraulic jack plates and other performance products from Bob’s Machine Shop are produced on state-of-the-art, computerized milling machines. They are supplied to OEMs with industry-leading, limited lifetime warranties.

Suggested retail price of the Ultra HD 4" jack plate is $729.

JACKPLATE OFFERED FOR KICKER MOTORS

Smaller outboard motors are becoming more popular for auxiliary propulsion or trolling, even on larger boats. Bob's Machine Shop offers a jackplate that provides the option of using a kicker engine on nearly any boat.
At home on fishing boats with large outboards or powering a disabled 40' cruiser back to the slip, the jack will easily handle engines up to 40 hp. Sailboats, which often rely on small auxiliary motors, will also benefit from the jackplate's ability to reduce drag from the engine. Powerboats can even use the kicker jack in no-wake zones, during slow cruising or when navigating in shallow backwaters.
To provide high strength with minimal weight, the jackplate is built with 6061 T-6 aircraft-grade aluminum. Its hydraulic motor is mounted inside the boat for long life and easy maintenance.
Retail price on Bob's kicker jack is $849.

Bob's Machine Shop is a major supplier of engine performance accessories, including jackplates for engines up to 300 hp.

FOUR-IN-ONE JACKPLATE ADAPTS TO ANY BOAT

Performance boaters and fishing pros routinely use outboard engine jackplates to maximize speed and performance. Now, jacks have found a home among pleasure boaters as well. Bob's Machine Shop offers its MJ5 Convertible Jackplate to improve the performance of nearly any craft at a low cost.
The jack uses multiple combinations of a 2-1/2" engine offset with or without a six-degree positive wedge; a 5" offset with or without a six-degree negative wedge; or both offsets using no wedge. The best combination of offset and wedge is manually adjusted to provide maximum speed, handling and performance.
For example, a boat with a steep transom angle of 18 degrees can be changed to a 12-degree angle by simply converting the jackplate to the 2-1/2" engine offset with the six-degree wedge. Jacking bolts are used to adjust the vertical height of the jackplate up to 4".
For most lightweight boats, using the 2-1/2" offset alone is normally enough to raise the engine to its highest level without creating excessive bow lift. For outboard motors with a limited trim angle and insufficient bow lift, a 5" offset with no wedge can be used.

Use of the 5" offset and the 6-degree wedge together positions the engine 5-1/2" behind the transom into clean water and away from bubbles and hull turbulence. This helps to stop prop slippage and improves steering.
The standard MJ5 model weighs 19 pounds and is designed for engines with less than 225 hp. The heavy-duty MJH model weighs 27 pounds and is available for off-shore use with engines up to 300 hp. All jackplates are pre-drilled with the standard, BIA bolt pattern and will fit late-model V-6 engines. The jacks can be easily modified to fit any size outboard.
These jacks are constructed of aircraft-grade aluminum and stainless steel, and anodized with a black finish for corrosion resistance. They come with Bob's Machine Shop's limited-lifetime warranty to the original owner.

Retail price of BMS's standard MJ5 model jackplate is $249.95. The heavy-duty MJH version sells for $269.95, and an 8" version is available for $299.95.
